Be respectful Treat other members with respect, even when you disagree. Personal attacks, insults, harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, and deliberately antagonistic behavior are not allowed. Disagree with an opinion, experience, or idea — not the person sharing it.

2. Keep discussions constructive

We're here to help each other. When answering questions, try to provide useful information, personal experience, evidence, or practical suggestions rather than simply telling someone that they are wrong. Healthy debate is welcome. Arguments that become personal are not.

3. Don't intentionally spread misinformation

EV discussions can involve safety, batteries, charging, electrical systems, modifications, and other subjects where incorrect information can have real consequences. Don't knowingly post false or misleading information. When making technical claims, especially about safety or vehicle compatibility, provide a source or clearly identify something as your personal experience or opinion when appropriate.

4. Safety comes first

Never encourage another member to perform an unsafe electrical, mechanical, battery, charging, or vehicle modification. DIY discussions are welcome, but members should understand their own capabilities and limitations. When a job requires professional expertise, recommend consulting a qualified technician or electrician.

5. Share real experiences honestly

Personal experiences and product feedback are valuable to the community. When reviewing or recommending a product, be honest about what you have actually used or experienced. Don't present advertising, promotional claims, or information supplied by a seller as an independent personal experience.

6. No spam

Please don't flood the forum with repetitive, irrelevant, or low-value posts. This includes:
  • Repeated promotional posts
  • Keyword-stuffed content
  • Unrelated links
  • Excessive posting solely to promote a website or business
  • Copy-and-paste content posted across multiple discussions
Links are welcome when they genuinely help answer a question or contribute useful information.

7. Self-promotion and business promotion

We understand that many members work in the EV industry, and we want businesses and professionals to participate. However, promotion should remain relevant and useful. Do not use ordinary discussions primarily as advertising opportunities. Repeated unsolicited promotion, referral links, affiliate links, discount codes, or sales pitches may be removed. Where appropriate, please clearly disclose commercial or affiliate relationships.

8. No misleading product recommendations

Do not recommend a product while concealing a financial or commercial relationship with the seller or manufacturer. If you sell, manufacture, install, or receive compensation for a product or service you are recommending, say so. This helps everyone distinguish independent community advice from commercial promotion.

9. Use the appropriate category

Please post your question or discussion in the most relevant section. For example, use the vehicle-specific sections for Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X, Cybertruck, or other EV discussions, and use the relevant General Discussion section for topics such as charging, tires and wheels, safety, software, or builds. Using the correct category helps other members find useful information later.

10. Protect your privacy

Never post sensitive personal information such as:
  • Home addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Passwords
  • Payment information
  • Vehicle registration documents
  • Insurance documents
  • VINs or other identifying information when it is not necessary
Be careful when sharing screenshots or photographs that may contain personal information.

11. Don't impersonate others

Do not pretend to be another member, an EV Devil employee, a manufacturer representative, technician, or other individual when you are not. Do not create accounts intended to deceive or manipulate other members.

12. No illegal or dangerous content

Content involving illegal activity, fraudulent transactions, stolen goods, malicious software, or instructions intended to cause harm is not permitted. Discussions about vehicle security or theft prevention are welcome, but content that meaningfully facilitates wrongdoing may be removed.

13. Keep discussions suitable for a broad community

Do not post pornography, sexually explicit material, graphic gore, or excessively offensive material. Content that is abusive, hateful, or designed primarily to provoke members may also be removed.

14. Don't deliberately derail discussions

Please stay reasonably on topic. It's perfectly normal for conversations to evolve, but deliberately hijacking another member's thread to promote a different subject or repeatedly disrupting discussions makes the forum harder to use. Start a new thread when a different topic deserves its own discussion.

15. Respect copyright

Only post material that you have the right to share. Don't copy entire articles, manuals, paid content, or other copyrighted material and publish it on the forum without permission. It's usually better to summarize the relevant information and provide a link to the original source.

16. Report problems instead of escalating them

See a spam post, scam, abusive comment, suspicious seller, or other rule violation? Please report it to the moderators rather than starting a public argument. The moderation team will review reported content and take appropriate action.

17. Moderation

EV Devil moderators may edit, move, lock, hide, or remove content that violates these guidelines or negatively affects the community. Repeated or serious violations may result in warnings, posting restrictions, suspension, or removal of an account. Moderation decisions may take into account the context and severity of the situation.

18. EV Devil does not guarantee that every community post is accurate

Community discussions contain opinions and experiences from individual members. A post appearing on the forum does not necessarily mean that EV Devil endorses or has independently verified the information. For important decisions — particularly those involving vehicle safety, electrical work, charging equipment, batteries, or modifications — verify information through appropriate manufacturer documentation or qualified professionals.

19. Have fun and help each other

The best communities are built by members who freely share what they've learned. Ask questions. Share your experiences. Post your build. Help someone troubleshoot a problem.
